MCC 5411 is the Merchant Category Code for Grocery Stores, Supermarkets. Card networks assign it to grocery stores, supermarkets transactions, and your card issuer uses it — not the store name — to decide which bonus category, if any, applies to the purchase.
Covers grocery stores and supermarkets selling food for off-premise consumption. It does not cover convenience stores without fuel (often MCC 5499 — Miscellaneous Food Stores) or restaurants (MCC 5811/5812).
